Introduction to Dental Sedation Nursing

If you’re considering taking the NEBDN Sedation Course but would like to broaden your knowledge, then this course is for you. Dental Sedation is used for minor procedures that do not require a general anaesthetic. Patients who benefit from sedation will often struggle with dental treatment, so dental nurses are required to develop skills in safe sedation and a good understanding of patient care. This introductory theoretical course is presented online and will award 4 hours of verifiable CPD. The course covers the following topics: Conscious Sedation Administration of Sedation Anatomy and Physiology Patient Assessments Dental Anxiety Pharmacology The Role of Chairside Support Multidisciplinary Team Medico-Legal Good Clinic Practice Other information: The course is suitable for and available to all members of any dental team.
