Mental Capacity Act

Our mental capacity act training is available to all members of your dental team. This course supports staff who care for patients to develop an understanding, the responsibility and duty of care around the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Course Objective This course covers the key elements of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Our training is designed to offer vital support for care providers, including dental nurses. Our course will: Promote understanding of what constitutes mental capacity Promote understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and how this relates to other Legislation. Inform students of the core principles of the Mental Capacity Act, capacity testing, appropriate record keeping Help students understand how complying with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 promotes a person-centred approach to care This course also counts as 1 hour of enhanced CPD on completion
