All qualified and practising sedation dental teams are expected to maintain knowledge and skills previously undertaken. This update in dental sedation is suitable for all dental professionals carrying out conscious, intravenous and inhalation sedation.

We recommend that all students maintain a sedation folder for their practice. This should be readily available upon CQC and RQIA inspection. Suggested contents are outlined in the course module.
 
This dental course does not cover the following subjects. We advise that you continue to update your knowledge and skills in these areas as required:

Immediate Life Support
Health and Safety
 
All dental sedation professionals are required to undergo 12 hours of theoretical and practical study in sedation practice. Also, this course offers 4 hours of enhanced CPD.
