I started dental nursing in 1980 and went on to gain certificates in the NEBDN dental radiography, oral health education and orthodontic nursing post graduate qualifications, and the impression taking and fluoride varnish application courses.
Over the years I have progressed in roles from dental nursing to management and head of HR.
In 2009, I was approached and asked to run a dental training program.
I gained my diploma in teaching and haven’t looked back. I have helped students from all over the UK progress in their dental careers.
Knowledge is power, and no one can take it away from you.
In 2019, I bought out the dental training programme and welcomed in Dental Training Ltd.
DTL has grown in strength and numbers, staff, and learners, because I know that for us to succeed, you must succeed.
Your success is our success, and my team will help you achieve your goals and give you 110%.
I am the managing director of DTL, looking after all our contracts and clients and I also deliver the NEBDN orthodontic dental nursing post graduate qualification to our learners.
Away from DTL, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and a chilled glass of champagne!

I have been with DTL since 2018, after 9 long joyful, and painful, years of dental nursing.
I qualified in 2010 and continued my training, gaining the National Certificate in Dental Radiography, Oral Health Education and Implant Nursing. I have many other dental qualifications including sedation, fluoride varnish & phlebotomy. Since 2018, I have gained my training and education award, my certificate in vocational assessing, and I’m currently working towards an EQA award.
Working with DTL, I can share my skills and knowledge, whilst encouraging and motivating others, to help them achieve further qualifications within the dental industry, and to continue progressing further.
The greatest pleasure in life, is doing what others say you cannot do.
Within my role, I deliver the NEBDN post graduate qualifications in both dental implant nursing and dental sedation nursing, and internally moderate our NEBDN dental radiography post graduate qualification.
I am a director of the company and our operations manager, which ensures our daily running is efficient and meeting set targets.
Away from DTL, I do my best to train our mouthy Pug, enjoy socialising with family and friends, and catching up on bad TV.

Having qualified as a dental nurse in 2009, I wanted to support and help others with their own dental training. I gained my training & education award, followed by the National Certificate in oral health education and fluoride varnish application.
Working as an agency dental nurse and as an oral health educator, I met people from all around the UK and developed a passion for sharing my knowledge and skills.
Supporting trainee dental nurses in their new career is a great accomplishment and motivates me to do more for dental nurses. I also deliver the oral health education post graduate qualification, and the fluoride varnish application course, a beneficial progression to a dental nurses career.
Afterall, prevention is the way forward.
I have progressed throughout the years at DTL, and I am now a director and head of human resources. Supporting my students and other dental nurses are my priority, but my additional roles within the company give me opportunities to move DTL forward in a way that I believe will benefit you.
Away from DTL, I’m mummy to two beautiful girls and a handful of rebellious pets.

I joined Dental training Ltd in 2021, and although I do not have background in dentistry, I have worked for several years as a manager for a large charity.
I have qualifications in Business Administration, Marketing, Social Media, Data Protection and Health & Safety and bring a variety of skills to DTL.
As the Office Manager, I oversee the administrative duties, including company budget and our student engagement and registrations.
My student engagement gives me the opportunity to encourage and motivate others, helping them to achieve and succeed within the dental industry.
I thoroughly enjoy this new world of dentistry, helping our students further their career and supporting our DTL tutors.
Away from DTL, I’m mummy to two beautiful girls and one crazy dog! When I can, I enjoy creative nail designs with a cup of coffee, in peace!

Within my role at DTL, I ensure we are compliant with financial and legal requirements, as well as maintaining standards of corporate governance.
My daily duties involve convening and providing administration for annual general meetings (AGMs), such as producing agendas, taking minutes, conveying decisions and handling meeting correspondence.
Away from DTL, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, walking my dogs and baking.
Alfie
Dental Advisor
Alfie grew up in Hampstead, N.W. London, before qualifying in 1995 with B.D.S. from King’s College Hospital, London.
After qualifying he held hospital posts in Maxillo-facial & Oral Surgery and Children’s dentistry.
Alfie continued with his post-graduate studies at The Eastman Dental Institute and was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice in 2006 with a Distinction. He then gained his PG Certificate in Surgical Implantology and PG Certificate in advanced Endodontics the following year. Alfie holds the post of Designated Safeguarding Officer and has attained a Certificate in Safeguarding Level 4.
In 2014, he was awarded his Masters Level PG Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the prestigious Eastman UCL-University of London.
He has continued learning studying Sports Dentistry and the dental & oral management of elite athletes.
Alfie firmly believes in keeping up-to-date with the latest scientific evidence-based dentistry in order to offer the best treatment possible to his patients of all ages. He works as a general dental practitioner at The Wash Common Dental & Implant Centre Newbury.
